Day 1 - Gianyar

Morning departure from Melbourne or Sydney arriving into Bali with Garuda Indonesia early afternoon, then to be taken to your hotel with private van transfers.   After check in, the afternoon is at your leisure to relax and enjoy what the property has to offer. Hotel: Mara River Safari Lodge. Dinner is at own expense.  Arrival into Bali with Garuda Indonesia from SYD or MEL

 

Day 2 - Gianyar

After breakfast, a full day of activities at your own leisure utilising all the property has to offer with their animals housed and accommodated there. Most activities are free of charge and other intense ones are at a charge.   The Mara River Safari Lodge has so much to showcase so prepare yourself for the best time of your life, the activities are countless and endless.  Hotel: Mara River Safari Lodge, breakfast included. Lunch and Dinner at own expense

 

Day 3 – Gianyar to Ubud

After breakfast, finalise your last minute must do’s before meeting in the lobby after check out.   The private van transfer will be ready to take you to your next destination Ubud and to your hotel.   Upon arrival, you will check in and at your own leisure explore the extensive grounds of the property which will invigorate you intensely to then either indulge in an afternoon spa treatment or a splash in the natural spring water pool, whichever tickles your senses to excitement.   For the evening the group can make last minute arrangements to experience the main centre of ubud with its night life of bars and cafes to settle for Dinner at one.   You may remain for dinner at the hotel to relax from the long days events of getting there and exploring around.

Day 4 - Ubud

After breakfast, your time is your own spending the day to explore the artistic and cultural capital of Bali. Here you can capture the real essence of Bali in the galleries and workshops that dot the area. In Ubud you will find world class wood and stone carvings, paintings and silverwork. You will live like the Balinese do, amongst tropical gardens and terraced paddy fields in traditional-styled accommodation. Ubud is for those seeking to experience something beyond the sun, sand and surf. It has an artistic spirituality, charm and charisma so close to nature and is now all uncommon in the real world. Arrangements can be made to have a local shuttle with it’s driver as the tour guide to take the group here and there at a very small and affordable price bartered in agreement paid directly to them.  Bartering is traditional, it is part of the fun in Bali, you want a buy and they want a sale, so give it ago in Ubud and at every opportunity when making your own purchases of memories wherever you are.

Day 5 – Ubud to Candi Dasa

After an early morning rise for breakfast, you have a full day tour of Kintamani, a view of Lake Batur and the active Mt Batur.   Along the way, the tour will visit the silver and gold works in Celuk, a village of woodcarvers with exhibits showcasing their finest woodworks in Mas and then to the arts of painters and their paintings. During the trip you will experience the many beautiful breathtaking attractions which highlight Bali’s beauty. Upon ending the tour arriving back to collect luggage and transfer to your hotel in Candi Dasa all ready for Dinner at your own leisure until retiring for the night.  Hotel: Puri Bagus Candi Dasa, American breakfast included. Lunch in restaurant at the top of Kintamani and Dinner are at own expense

 

Day 6 – Candi Dasa

After breakfast, if you are feeling energetic there are hillside trails which offer sensational views across the headland and out to Nusa Peneeda. On the return a cooking class of your choice could work up your appetite for a late lunch or afternoon snack.   The cooking classes range from Food for Skin, Traditional Balinese Style, Organic Cooking or Catch and Cook.  Later you can unwind with a swim and drinks around the pool at your own leisure around the resort before working your self up for Dinner then relaxing the night away.  Hotel: Puri Bagus Candi Dasa, American breakfast. Lunch will come with one of the cooking classes chosen and Dinner is at own expense.

 

Day 7 – Candi Dasa

After breakfast, spend the day at your own leisure exploring around Candi Dasa with a little bit of local shopping and self pampering or just relax enjoying the facilities and amenities of the hotel on offer.  Hotel: Puri Bagus Candi Dasa, American breakfast included. Lunch and Dinner at own expense

 

Day 8 – Candi Dasa to Tanjung Benoa

After breakfast, the tour to Talamben in East Bali, home to the US Liberty, a World War II wreck lying just off the beach, will take in the sights and attractions along the way.   Tulamben is a favourite Diving and Snorkelling spot.  The itinerary takes in this tour giving an opportunity for those that would like to experience Diving or Snorkelling.   Awaiting your arrival back at the hotel is your private transfer to Tanjung Benoe. After check in the afternoon is at your own leisure by the pool or beach or by the bar working up your appetite for Dinner.  Hotel: Aston Bali Beach Resort and Spa, buffet breakfast included. Lunch and Dinner at own expense

 

Day 09 – Tanjung Benoa

Another day to sleep in, enjoy breakfast and how about taking advantage of the free shuttle to Kuta Square for shopping, but make sure you leave enough time to dolly yourself up for a Sunset Dinner Cruise.   Transfers, welcome drink, buffet dinner with a variety of entertainment options on the Cruise will leave you wanting more when the Cruise comes to an end.   Back at the hotel either continue on with drinks relaxing or retire to your room. Hotel: Aston Bali Beach Resort and Spa, buffet breakfast included.  Lunch at own expense

 

 

 

Day 10 – Tanjung Benoa

A start with a longer sleep-in, a slower breakfast and relax at your own leisure enjoying the beachfront hotel.   In-house facilities will entertain you lazily as you begin to work up your appetite for Dinner at Jimbaran Beach “A Must Do”.   Between the tourist end and the local end of seafood restaurant service providers, it is said “go to the locals section” for the best seafood at the best local prices. You order before taken to your tables and seated then only to find you are serenaded by local musician on the beach.  As you sit waiting for your meal, enjoy the sunset, the cool evening breeze and the seductive tunes, you will be placed in the position of no return.  Your ordered dinner arrives and it’s the perfect evening and the perfect atmosphere.  A memorable moment for the rest of your life! Day 11 – Tanjung Benoa to Tuban

After breakfast, prepare for check out to arrive at your hotel in Tuban.   Immediately after check in return to lobby to meet with the Sunset Tanah Lot Tour   On the tour you will visit Tanah Lot Temple, which is immersed in water by the cliffs of Tanah Lot, then as the afternoon grows into lateness you will see the beautiful sunset.   The highlight of this tour!  The evening is at your own leisure. Hotel: Kupu Kupu Barong Beach Resort, American breakfast included. Lunch and Dinner at own expense.

 

Day 12 and 13 – Tuban

Tuban is central to shopping, self pampering, many activities and the beach.   Spend the last 2 days at your own leisure and experience all that you can that is at arms reach.   Tuban has countless activities to fill your senses. Hotel: Kupu Kupu Barong Beach Resort. American breakfast included.  Lunch and Dinner at own expense.

 

Day 14 – Tuban to Airport

Take the day in your stride.    Sleep in, enjoy breakfast, have a swim, have a few drinks unwind. Spend the afternoon with a Spa Package Treatment 1 and a buffet lunch. Your holiday comes to an end, check out and make your way to your Private Transfer to the airport. American breakfast included. Lunch included with the Spa Package Treatment 1. Dinner is at own expense.  Departure with Garuda Indonesia back to SYD or MEL

2 Nights Mara River Safari Lodge – GIARNYAR (Deluxe)

On a 40 hectare of land, Bali Safari and Marine Park is nestled within the rich Balinese culture and breathtaking natural surroundings.  The park is conveniently located 17 kilometres from Denpasar and 30 minutes from world famous Kuta Beach.  One of the many highlights of the park is a Wildlife Safari, where visitors’ board specialised tour vehicles called “trucks” driven through various wildlife ecosystems from around the world.   Animals seen close up are the Indonesian babi rusa, orangutans and Sumatran tigers. 2 Nights Hotel Tjampuhan – UBUD (First Class)

Situated in a beautiful, tranquil location in the green hills overlooking the Oost River and surrounded by lotus ponds and fascinating temples.   The Hotel Tjampuahn is a place where you can discover traditional Bali.  This first class hotel was once artists’ colony headed by famous German artist Walter Spies.

Accommodation type and description:  The Raja Rooms are air-conditioned.  The simple Balinese-style bungalows have a veranda and are set amongst tropical gardens.

It has 2 pools with one being a natural spring water pool and the delightful spa is uniquely situation in a grotto overlooking the valley.

Tanah Lot Sunset Tour – This tour is a romantic afternoon half day tour and visits Bali’s most beautiful temple, Pura Taman Ayun, located at Mengwi.  From there you travel over to the sacred monkey forest of Kedaton giving you the opportunity of seeing hundreds of monkeys in their natural habitate. Your last stop on this trip is at another one of Bali’s famous scenic wonders, the remarkable temple of Tanah Lot, which is set apart from mainland suspended by huge offshore rock.  As the sun sets, the temple emerges as a striking silhouette against the simmering evening sky giving the most romantic and indescribable view for eyes and your camera.  Take your camera!

Alila Organic Garden Adventure Cooking Class

Half Day Tour – gain a new sense of taste as you rediscover the wholesome nurturing flavours of unprocessed ingredients.  Grow your awareness of sustainable farming which is sure to stimulate your appetite for a more healthy and balanced lifestyle.  After breakfast, head to our organic garden just 10 minutes from the hotel, hidden below the foothills of Mt Agung and overlooking the sea.    Our gardener Bapak Sugit will reveal the technique and agricultural practices of Balinese farmers, from the famed Subak (water irrigation) system to the rotation of crops in the rice fields.  Armed with boots and a rice hat, join the action in the garden collecting seasonal ingredients, walking the ducks, scaring the birds or simply waiting for the rice to grow from the shelter of a “Kubu Kubu” a small hut built in the rice fields.  Begin your organic cooking lesson with tastings from the garden followed by lunch in traditional Balinese pavilion

Catch and Cook – A seafood adventure

Full day tour – Ready for some action? Pick up the skill of the Balinese fisherman as you try your hand at relling in your own dinner.  Be a part of the whole adventure from catching to cooking. Join our team of fisherman aboard our jukung, a traditional style fishing boat. At 730am, you will venture out with the colourful local fleet of fishing boats to catch a fish for your dinner.  The cooking class will start at 5pm in our garden by the sea.  You will learn how to prepare a local fish and prawn curry, Bumbu Bali and pepes ikan (fish wrapped in banana leaves) and will be served a sumptuous seafood megibung featuring the food you cooked during your class and your very own catch of the day.

Food and Skin Cooking Class

Full Day TourBali has a rich history of traditional medicinal recipes for maintaing health and beauty.  Discover the healing qualities of natural ingredients found all around us and used in Alila’s cuisine naturalle and rejuvenating spa treatments.  A Balinese breakfast in our organic garden is a wonderful start to the day, prepared by our head gardener Bapak Sugita using a Jalian or traditional wood-fired stove.  Then explore the hargen, picking herbs, roots and fruits that hold the secrets to staying healthy used by the Balinese people.  Learn how to make coconut oil that you can use to prepare your own skin treatments.  Create a facial treatment using local fruits and organic bath sea salts, as well as a herbal body scrub made from an age old recipe handed down throughout the generations.  Discover the life giving qualities of jamu as you blend a traditional recipe called beras kencur.  Following a healthy lunch served in the bale, enjoy time for reflection before returning to the hotel for a returning a soothing spa treatment using traditional Balinese oils.

Introduction to Traditional Balinese Cooking

Half Day Tour – From the growing and harvesting process to the marketing and preparation of ingredients, understand how the cycle of daily life translates to the plate in traditional Balinese dishes.  After an early morning breakfast visit Klungkung market and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of one of the busiest village markets in East Bali.  Return to the hotel to learn how to use the ubiquitous Ulekan (traditional Balinese mortar and pestle) to make the embodiment of Balinese cuisine – Bumbu Bali (Balinese curry paste) and Bumbu Kacang (peanut sauce) – and prepare Balinese style nasi goreng (friend rice) in a wok and sate ayan (grilled chicken skewers).  Then savour the morning’s handiwork over a leisurely lunch in the restaurant.

The service includes: Concierge Representative will be waiting for you with a sign as you come off the aircraft, you are then whisked off to the Concierge Lounge with coffee, tea and entertainment facilities while the Concierge Representative takes your Passport, your Visa money and will then return with your Visa and luggage and they will escort you out to your transfer service provider booked in your itinerary
